Since the government’s recent endorsement of CBT as the treatment of choice for common mental health problems, interest in and demand for this treatment has snowballed (see NHS press release).

The message is – we have treatment which works. Now more people should have it!

At CBT Networks we are particularly interested in CBT’s proven efficacy with emotional reactions to road accidents and other traumas.

Join our FREE members resource area and receive:

  • up-to-date information on the latest treatment techniques for traumatic stress reactions;
  • access to case studies illustrating common reactions to trauma;
  • information about how to access the right treatment;
  • quarterly newsletter with the latest news and views on CBT and its relevance to trauma survivors.

You can also contact us with your own experiences, views and feedback (feedback form here soon)

What's in the Members area :

When you log on you are invited to select one of three specialist categories:

  1. Survivor
  2. Clinician (GP / therapist/ etc)
  3. Lawyer or insurer

Under each heading you will find information relevant to this particular interest group. For example, survivors will be able to check out whether the symptoms they are experiencing are common reactions to trauma, whether treatment is required and how to access it. Clinicians will be given information about the assessment of reactions to trauma and the routes for referral. Issues relating to the role of CBT in Personal Injury Claims and the process for finding treatment for clients will be part of the information shared with lawyers and insurers.

Your joining the network will help us to refine our service. We attach a feedback form for your comments about the information laid out here, and about your experience of CBT either via the Network, or elsewhere.

With your help, we hope to constantly refine and improve on our service, so that our Members are kept up to speed on issues pertaining to CBT in relation to trauma, but also so that we can facilitate the maximum number of accident survivors receiving appropriate treatment.
